What are the advantages of a Heat Pump?
One of the biggest advantages of a heat pump versus a standard heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) unit is that there is no need to install separate systems to heat and cool your home or business. Heat pumps are also very efficient because they simply transfer heat, rather than burn fuel to create heat. Heat pumps work best in moderate climates, so if you don't experience extreme heat and cold in your neck of the woods, then using a heat pump instead of a furnace and air conditioner could help you save a little money each month.
How does an Outdoor Boiler work?
With an outsdoor boiler, wood or coal is used to heat water within a water jacket. That heated water is then pumped in a continuous loop to the house through an insulated PEX line to a heat exchanger on your furnace and the water heater inside your home, then back again for reheating.
Along with the more traditional style heating systems, there are also new forms of heating available today, such as Radiant Heat and Geothermal Heat.
